Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club made a dream start in the Grameenphone Federation Cup when they blanked Youngmen's Club Fakirerpool 3-0 at the Kamalapur Stadium on Wednesday.
National booters Zahid Hasan Emily struck two first half goals including a penalty and Enamul Haque added the third after the break to seal the star-studded side's place in the next round.
They will play Arambagh, who beat BKSP 3-0 in the day's first match, on Friday.
On Tuesday, Muktijoddha and Farashganj won their respective matches.
Mohammad Rony scored the competition's first hat-trick to propel the Muktis to a 8-1 victory over Bangladesh Navy. Farashganj edged past Bangladesh Air Force 1-0 with Jewel Rana's 36th minute goal.
